Community organisations in the Balmain electorate will receive close to $300,000 in funding after they were recommended by Greens MP Jamie Parker under the NSW government's Community Building Partnerships Program.
"I am delighted to announce the community organisations which have been successful in their applications for funding," Mr Parker said.
"I congratulate these projects on having put forward excellent community building proposals.
"I supported these projects because I believe these organisations are doing invaluable work in our community and I want to do everything I can to help.
"Funding will go to a number of worthy projects including new playground equipment for Nicholson Street Public school in Balmain East as well as a playgroup at Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre, assistance for a disability services provider in Haberfield, developing a sports court in Glebe and renovating the P&C canteen at Leichhardt Public School.
"I will continue to support community organisations which are doing important work in our neighbourhoods," Mr Parker said.
