GreenWay petition set to spark parliamentary debate in 2012

Greens MP Jamie Parker is seeking community support to reach 10,000 signatures calling on the government to build the GreenWay.

“The O’Farrell government has committed to allowing a parliamentary debate on any petition that reaches 10,000 signatures," Mr Parker said.

“The GreenWay petition has over 8,000 signatures and I will continue to collect names in the coming months to ensure we have a debate when parliament resumes in 2012.

"I'm calling on the Government to construct the GreenWay project as part of the Inner West Light Rail Extension so that the communities of the Inner West can reap the benefits of this important project," Mr Parker said.
