WestConnex stage 3 submission

The government is asking what we think about WestConnex. Let's tell them!

Dear Sir/Madam

SUBMISSION TO STAGE 3 WESTCONNEX PUBLIC CONSULTATION

Our community stands together for world class public transport, not more polluting tollroads.

WestConnex is destructive, dirty and will only serve to fleece on people from Western Sydney who will have to pay exorbitant tolls.

It will lead to more traffic, not less and spends billions of dollars of precious taxpayers money which could be much better spent on public transport.

We do not want unfiltered exhaust stacks, hundreds of trucks of rubble and round the clock noise in our local area.

We call on the government to abandon these proposals, to protect our green spaces, to keep our air clean and to instead invest in public transport

Yours sincerely,

We could have had Light Rail all over Sydney for the money that has been spent on WestConnex, & who did a runner from the Premiers Dept to a high faluting bank, wouldn’t be some kind of low life ?

I am concerned about the particulate pollutants which are carcinogenic and which will be pumped out of the unfiltered exhaust stacks.

    1. Where can the public see the route of these projects not just an approx diagram?

    2. Any consideration to no toll for electric vehicles?

    3. Will westconnex mean the surface roads will provide more bus lanes?

    4. Will the NSW toll agency make allowance for the everyday user who has no option but to drive on our many toll roads as many of these users provide our daily support and services and a number live in poor public transport serviced areas.

If you need jobs for your mates, create them in providing more public transport.

This is the craziest and most expensive and destructive transport plan in NSW history – even, possibly worse than getting rid of the trams. Improve public train services, and parking & particularly share car parking at train stations for our western sydney commuters and traffic will be reduced – & motorways become redundant.

This roadway is an abomination. It will make our city more polluted than ever. It will bring more cars into a already jam-packed city. Ask any town planner, building more roads never allievates traffic congestion, they simply bring in more cars. A modern city bans traffic from the inner city and builds more public transport.
