Thank you to everyone that turned out to our YES events this week, with your support and enthusiasm I know we can win this.
Alongside Jenny Leong, Greens MP for Newtown and Alex Greenwich, Member for Sydney and the Chair of the Australian Marriage Equality Campaign, I organised a town hall meeting in Balmain to engage and grow the YES campaign here in the Inner West. A huge thank you to everyone who made the time to come along and get involved.
To win this campaign we will need all hands on deck to have meaningful conversations with potential YES voters across the country – whether that’s something as big as organising your own phonebank at home via the equality campaign website or just texting your friends to make sure they’ve sent off their ballot, all of these actions big and small will be what gets the yes vote over the line.
This weekend if you’ve got time there will also be doorknocks in Rozelle and Leichhardt on Saturday that you can sign up to here and a doorknock in Glebe on Sunday that you can sign up to here.
There are so many ways you can contribute to this campaign so please don’t hesitate to grab a friend and get out the vote. Thanks again for your positivity and enthusiasm about this campaign – with your help I know we can win, and win big.
