BUNNINGS GOING TO COURT OVER ROZELLE DEVELOPMENT

The Artazan Property Group has taken court action to get their application to build a Bunnings retail store at Parsons Street in Rozelle approved.

A hearing date is set for 9:00am on 26 April in the Land and Environment Court.
Commenting on the case, Jamie Parker MP for Balmain says:

“I’ve been working with local residents in Rozelle to make sure we get an application that’s appropriate for the site at Parsons Street. This massive superstore is definitely not it.

“The strength of community opposition to this plan has been overwhelming. Council received over 100 submissions from local residents during the last round of public consultation alone.

“I am committed to ensuring that community opposition is taken seriously throughout this process so that we can get an appropriate development on the Parsons Street site. I’ll be pressing the Council to vigorously defend this matter at the Land and Environment Court.”
