Australia's biggest urban re-development appears certain to end up in court after the Environmental Defender's Office agreed to represent opponents of the $6 billion Barangaroo project.
The president of the Barangaroo Action Group, Ian Campbell, said the office has advised his members it would help them try to stop what they say is a fast-tracked overdevelopment of the old container wharves at East Darling Harbour.

Even Sydney's Lord Mayor, Clover Moore, who is a member of the Barangaroo Delivery Authority board which approved the Lend Lease proposal, said she remained concerned it was ''too bulky'', while the mayor of Leichhardt, Jamie Parker, called the hotel the ''monstrosity to be built in our harbour''.
