The NSW Government is proposing to sell off and redevelop the Franklyn Street social housing estate.
The development would replace the existing 110 social housing properties with 425 new properties, mostly private, in three buildings up to 14 storeys high which would dwarf the surrounding area.
Our community desperately needs more social housing but as we have seen in other similar developments this proposal could actually reduce the number of social housing bedrooms on site.
