Glebe ferry returns with direct services

Following the shutdown of the Inner West Light Rail we called on the Minister for Transport to urgently reinstate our highly successful ferry to Glebe to make it easier and quicker to get into the CBD.

The ferry was 'paused' due to COVID but I am so pleased we have been able to have it reinstated as a fast, direct, timetabled service between Glebe and Barangaroo.

From next week you will be able to catch the ferry from the Blackwattle Bay Wharf at the base of Oxley Street direct to Barangaroo. The services will run 7am to 8pm weekdays every 30 minutes.

Thank you to everyone who supported our campaign, including the 4,149 people who signed our petition.

While this is great news for our community, of course we're still pushing for the ferry to be put on the Opal system and for more vessels to be purchased to increase the frequency of services.

I've also called for more new public transport options, including the ferry to Annandale. If you haven't signed our petition for an Annandale ferry, please do it today by clicking here.

I am absolutely committed to ensure our city gets more public transport solutions like this that actually take cars off our roads - especially during the light rail shutdown.
