Koalas in Crisis Public Meeting

Koalas are unique to eastern Australia. Once dense in this part of the country, the eucalyptus forests that give them food and shelter are now under threat from land clearing, logging and urban development – all sanctioned by the NSW Government.

In the last 20 years, koala populations have declined by 50% on the NSW North Coast. The good news is that communities across NSW are activating to protect our wild koalas and their forest homes with campaigns like the Great Koala National Park.

Join Jamie Parker MP, Dawn Walker MLC and Mehreen Faruqi MLC with special guest speaker Ricardo Lonza (Save Campbelltown Koalas) for a public meeting at the Ultimo Community Centre to learn about the threats to our native koala population and what you can do to stop them.
