The NSW Department of Planning is currently considering a draft Pyrmont Peninsula Place Strategy that will determine a 20 year vision and planning framework for the Pyrmont Peninsula.
Greens MP Jamie Parker says the strategy would reshape the area into a mass of redevelopment including large pockets of CBD scale towers, without adequate provision of community facilities, affordable housing and open green space. It has the potential to transform the harbour foreshore from Darling Harbour to Blackwattle Bay into a glorified retail and shopping precinct.
