Save Wentworth Park

We need to tell the government that Wentworth Park should be kept as an open space for people, not built over for profit.

The government and their developers are eyeing Wentworth Park for redevelopment as part of the Bays Precinct.

Please sign the petition to ask Premier Berejiklian to keep Wentworth Park safe from developers:

Dear Premier,

I urge you to protect Wentworth Park from development by handing it back to the City of Sydney, and expand recreation and sporting facilities in the area, which is already one of the most densely populated in Australia.

    My soccer team is based at Wentworth Park, including the pitch in the centre of the stadium. It is the largest soccer fields park available in the inner west and is a vital open space for thousands of people playing competetive and recreational sport.

    Inner Sydney is becoming overcrowded with poorly designed and built blocks of flats. The population is rising sharply, and needs many facilities that are currently lacking, such as open space for healthy recreation. Wentworth Park must be kept free of the flats that mar our city and in public ownership, preferably in the hands of Sydney City Council.
