Save Wentworth Park

We need to tell the government that Wentworth Park should be kept as an open space for people, not built over for profit.

The government and their developers are eyeing Wentworth Park for redevelopment as part of the Bays Precinct.

Please sign the petition to ask Premier Berejiklian to keep Wentworth Park safe from developers:

Dear Premier,

I urge you to protect Wentworth Park from development by handing it back to the City of Sydney, and expand recreation and sporting facilities in the area, which is already one of the most densely populated in Australia.

    Wentworth park area was originally swampland and the park was built to fix the stench of polluting industries in the 1800’s- probably not ideal land to build on! With construction zones throughout the bay precinct, WestConnex stacks, fish markets and new apartments all around the Haymarket and Glebe area it is critical to preserve this green space! Sport clubs all already fighting for limited facilities… removing this park would be a huge mistake!!

    Please do not allow any further development of Wentworth Park. We need as much green space in our inner city areas as we can get. People before profit please
