Save Wentworth Park

We need to tell the government that Wentworth Park should be kept as an open space for people, not built over for profit.

The government and their developers are eyeing Wentworth Park for redevelopment as part of the Bays Precinct.

Please sign the petition to ask Premier Berejiklian to keep Wentworth Park safe from developers:

Dear Premier,

I urge you to protect Wentworth Park from development by handing it back to the City of Sydney, and expand recreation and sporting facilities in the area, which is already one of the most densely populated in Australia.

    Thjere are already hideous apartment blocks in every direction in that area. For humanity’s sake pleasw leave us some open space with trees and play areas

    Wentworth Park is a critical parkland for the future high density population that needs recreational and sport access to maintain community physical and mental health. It also an environmental area that supports the bay and provides a secure area to give access to the waterway. Developers should not be given premium recreational land that belongs to the people of Sydney; and also the people of NSW, where this forms a complimentary environmental front of parklands amidst city density backdrops. Developers should be buying existing old dwellings; not being given access to our land. This is our parkland, our recreation land; and right for balanced environmental living and water access for the good of the community.
