    TAFE is so important to the future of NSW. Because of government actions students are losing opportunities to develop critical skills, teachers are losing jobs, and the community is losing an essential service. Nothing smart about this. Please support Greens bill and act to save TAFE.

    TAFE was what gave me some small but important music qualification, a Dip. Music, which I could not simply obtain through places like the Conservatorium or AIM, with their prohibitively high costs. We had some wonderful music teachers at that time. Damn right I’m angry at this move, DON’T LOSE OUR TAFE!!!

    I have just been collecting signatures on the paper petition and the number of people currently utilising TAFE astounded me and the number of people who have said “I don’t know what I am going to do” now after cuts, course changes etc. was enormous. People are outraged.

    TAFE used to be a second-chance educational institution which was fantastic as it gave everyone a chance. Now it is an educational provider that excludes those people unable to pay increasing prices for that second chance.We need an educated community and TAFE should be one of the chief providers that enable this to happen.

Save Tafe

TAFE is being pushed to the brink by the current state Coalition government’s budget cuts and privatisation agenda. Combined with years of neglect under Labor, NSW is now looking at a future without TAFE.

Tell the NSW Liberal government that you support investing in TAFE!

Dear Premier,

After years of cost cutting, rising fees, privatised training and job losses, TAFE needs an urgent plan to safeguard its future. TAFE is under threat  by your government’s budget cuts and privatisation agenda. Combined with years of neglect under Labor, NSW is now looking at a future without TAFE.

I urge you to commit to funding TAFE as an essential public provider of vocational education and training.
