Together we can end violence against women: take the pledge on Sat 24 Nov

White Ribbon Ambassador Jamie Parker MP is hosting a White Ribbon Day BBQ to support the campaign to end violence against women.

Mr Parker has written to all the men in his electorate, encouraging them to join him at a BBQ in Balmain and to take the pledge never to commit, excuse or remain silent about violence against women.

"I've personally invited all the men living in my electorate to join me in committing to end violence against women because I believe the change needs to begin with us.

"This is a unique opportunity for our community to stand together on this important issue.

"Violence perpetrated against women must stop. I am a White Ribbon Ambassador working with the White Ribbon Day campaign to raise awareness.

"At the BBQ I will be asking local men to join me and over 50,000 men across Australia who have already taken the pledge," Mr Parker said.

When: 11am Saturday 24 November (speeches and pledge at 11:30am)
Where: Loyalty Square, Darling St Balmain (outside Woolworths)
Please RSVP for catering purposes: 9660 7586 or [email protected]

All welcome - this will be a fun, informal BBQ so please bring your family and friends.
