Nominate a senior for a 2014 Local Achievement Award

Inner West seniors are set to be recognised in the 2014 local achievement awards, with Greens MP Jamie Parker encouraging community members to nominate friends and family members for the honours.

“We need to recognise the contribution of those who make our community a better place to live. These awards are one way to do that,” Mr Parker said.

“Seniors make an invaluable contribution to our local community but too often we overlook the very real difference they make.

“I’m encouraging community members to nominate local seniors with energy, determination and dedication to their community and loved ones,” Mr Parker said.

Nominations for the 2014 NSW Seniors Week Local Achievement Awards for the Balmain electorate close at 5pm on Friday 21 February.
