WestConnex: Joint Submission on New M5 EIS
Jamie Parker and Jenny Leong, Member for Newtown, made a joint submission in response to the latest Environmental Impact Statement for the the New M5, the section of toll road between Kingsgrove and St Peters.
A big thank you to the community groups and local residents who contributed a remarkable 9000 submissions to the Department of Planning by last Friday’s deadline!

Price hike for seniors' travel
The NSW state government is proposing changes to the cost of public transport which will see self-funded retirees stripped of Gold Opal cards and pensioners paying more for public transport.
You may be aware that the NSW Government recently commissioned IPART (Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal) to review the cost of passenger travel when using the Opal Card.

I have been working for 10 years to ensure that redevelopment of the Balmain Tigers site is appropriate and sustainable.
When Mayor of Leichhardt Council I was on the Joint Regional Planning Panel which unanimously rejected a 2010 application that was half the size of subsequent proposals from Rozelle Village Pty Ltd.
