Public meeting on Bays Precinct Structure Plan
The NSW Government released a draft strategy for the Bays West Precinct which includes White Bay, Rozelle Bay and Blackwattle Bay. View the full strategy here.
The strategy includes a number of positive proposals including plans to fully restore the White Bay Power Station as a cultural building, reopen the Glebe Island Bridge to pedestrians and cyclists, and deliver a significant, connected public open space near the water.
But it also flags significant residential development close to the new planning Sydney Metro Station at White Bay. This is in addition to the residential development already proposed at the former Sydney Fish Markets site.
