Inner West Cycling Survey

I am bringing together cycling stakeholders for a Round Table next month at the NSW Parliament. Tell us how we can improve cycling in the Inner West.

Despite chalking up wins with the ‘A Metre Matters’ law and the defeat of compulsory ID rules, cyclists face draconian fines and cycling deaths remain on the rise in NSW. Cyclist deaths have more than doubled nationally in the past 12 months and cycling participation in NSW is declining.

All levels of government need to be doing more to encourage people to cycle for transport and invest in infrastructure that makes cycling safer and more accessible for everyone.

Do you cycle in the Inner West? Do the Cycling Survey today.

Together with Jenny Leong MP, Member for Newtown, I am bringing together cycling stakeholders for a Round Table next month at the NSW Parliament.

Representatives from the Inner West and City of Sydney Councils, Bike NSW, the Heart Foundation, and local Inner West cycling groups will join us to discuss how to develop better policy responses and encourage Sydney-siders to get on their bikes.

Ahead of the Round Table, I want your ideas on how we can improve cycling facilities in the Inner West and encourage cycling in wider Sydney. Do our Cycling Survey.

With your help, I will continue to press this government to do more to support, protect and encourage cyclists in NSW.
