Public meeting on light rail shutdown

The inner west light rail is set to be decommissioned for up to 18 months due to cracking in all 12 tram sets that operate the line from the city centre to Dulwich Hill.
An 18 month light rail shut down is completely unacceptable.
Lots of locals have designed their work and school arrangements around the light rail. This line is an essential public transport link for people in the inner west who don’t have access to train services.
I’ve already met with the Minister for Transport’s office about what has caused the cracking, what the roadmap is to fixing it and how we can better design our public transport system to prevent this from happening again.
Please join my public meeting with Inner West Mayor Rochelle Porteous to hear about what has caused the cracking, and what needs to happen both to fix the trams and the way this line is managed.
