Support a strong ICAC

Thank you for your support of our petition to Premier Mike Baird and Labor leader Luke Foley, asking them to keep the ICAC as a strong and independent corruption fighting body.

The legislation was passed through the Upper House, and so the petition is now closed. However we will not stop working for clean politics and less corruption in New South Wales. If you'd like to be kept up to date with our corruption-fighting work, please sign up below for updates.

Many thanks,

Jamie Parker.

It’s ridiculous that while many Australians are begging for a Federal ICAC that Mike Baird et al are pushing to remove the NSW ICAC that has proven its effectiveness. Must be all the Liberal MPs it rolled.

Blatant protection for the corrupt by this government that continues to govern for the rich and powerful. Mr Baird you are becoming a very destructive in the way you are protecting the interests of the few.

The efficacy and integrity of the ICAC must be preserved by not reducing its powers and funding.

ICAC belongs to the people, while you Baird might have the power to dismantle this essential resource, you DO NOT have the right. The corruption revealed across policies and behaviour to date is absolutely disgusting and I demand to retain the full capabilities and independent power of ICAC. If we could trust you, we wouldn’t need it, but we have seen over and over again that you and your cronies cannot be trusted. Preserve ICAC.

Given the issues that ICAC has already uncovered, there appears to be no positive political reason to make these types of changes.
