Delivering results on public housing
Labor left a $300 million backlog in public housing maintenance. In response to Jamie’s work in highlighting this issue in the media, in Parliament and the community, we have seen gutters cleaned, bathrooms repaired and dangerous electrical issues fixed. Waiting times on the NSW Housing maintenance line have reportedly dropped and we are finally seeing the start of some positive results.
A pro-gun culture for NSW: Liberal government does a deal with the Shooters
The O’Farrell Liberal government has done a deal with the Shooters Party in the NSW Upper House, moving to massively expand the amount of public land available to amateur recreational hunting in return for the Shooters’ support for selling-off the NSW electricity industry.
Jamie vigorously opposed this move, which sees NSW adopting a pro-gun culture and the government disregarding public safety and undermining our National Parks.
